Alma Rose Johnston-92, passed away Mar. 2, 2010 at the Chalmers
Hospital, Fredericton. Born 26 Dec. 1917 in Blackville, NB, she was
the daughter of the late John W. Duncan and Margaret S. (Mountain)
Duncan.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward C. Johnston and daughter Lana Webster, along with brothers James and Orval B.N. Duncan, half sisters Glenna Appleby, as well as half sister Hazel and half brother Roland who both died in infancy.
Rose is survived by a sister Daisy Anthony (Marathon, Ont,), beloved son-in-law Kenneth (Josie) Webster of Elbow, Sask., and several nieces and nephews. She will be interred later at Fredericton Rural Cemetery next to her husband Edward Johnston.
Visitation at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB on Sat., March 6, 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be on Sunday 2:30 p.m. at their chapel. Rev. Kelly Burke of New Maryland United Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fredericton Meals on Wheels would be appreciated.
