After a long hard fought battle with cancer, it is with much sadness we announce the passing of Gregory Norman Allen (45) of Fredericton. Greg was predeceased by his brother Bradley, grandparents George and Bessie McGibbon, Norman and Martha Allen, Aunt Faye Magee and Aunt Francis Brooks. Greg was a graduate of FHS and a graduate of UNB with a BBA in Business Administration and BA in Military History with honours. Greg worked as a proud corrections officer (CS2) at Dorchester Penitentiary and made many good friends who faithfully visited and supported him until the end. Greg had a great sense of humour and truly cherished the time he spent with his family - especially his trips to the lodge. Greg was a past baseball umpire, an avid stamp collector, a great builder of military models and he had a gift in marksmanship which related well to his fine collection of firearms. Leaving to mourn are his parents Keith and Margaret, his only niece Ally Sharpe (her dear “Uncle Giggy“), his sister Joanne Sharpe (John), brother Ken Magee (Gail), sister Margaret Magee and many family and friends. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm at McAdams Funeral Home and the funeral will take place on Wednesday 2pm at Christ Church Cathedral - reception to follow, internment will take place at a later date. The family would appreciate any donations to Camp Rotary or the charity of the donors choice.
