Flora Kirby
1935-2010
It is with great sadness that the family of Flora Kirby announce her death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, August 23rd at the age of 74. Born in Fredericton on September 14th, 1935 she was the wife of the late Carl Kirby.
Flora is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Paul) Rees and Debbie (Guy) Richard; grandchildren, Stephanie, Amie, Zack, Cody and Matthew and one great grandchild, Brayden. In addition to her husband, Carl, she was predeceased by her parents, Edgar and Georgina (Vivyan) Morehouse.
Flora worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Government for many years. She was a faithful church goer, belonging to the Marysville United Church and was a proud volunteer at York Manor Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held 2 pm on Thursday, August 26th at Marysville United Church with Rev. Kelly Burke officiating. Interment will be in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery.
