Glendon Robert “Bob” Moore

It is with great sadness that the family of Glendon Robert "Bob" Moore announce his passing on August 4, 2018, after a brief illness at Hospice House Fredericton. He was the husband of Monalee (Beckingham) Moore. Born on December 24, 1938 in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Glendon Robert "Patrick" and Margaret Ann (Kerr) Moore.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughter Melissa of Miramichi; his son Kristian "Kristy" (Jocelyn) of Fredericton; grandsons Zachary and Patrick Ramsay of Miramichi, Keegan, Connor and Cadhan Moore of Fredericton.

Dad had several achievements during his life. Some of these were obtaining his Masters degree in Education, being a pioneer with alternative education in New Brunswick, and being the manager of the New Brunswick Judo Team at the 1979 Canada Winter Games. Also, he was a proud Mason and Shriner member. Dad was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed snowmobling, hunting and fishing in Bald Mountain Country, at the head of the Northwest Miramichi River. He was also his grandsons’ number one fan at hockey and baseball games, as well as at judo tournaments, never missing a game, match or practice.

By request of the family, there will be no visitation or service. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Rusagonis, NB. Donations in Dad’s memory may be made to Hospice House Fredericton.

The family would like to thank Dr. Cathy Woods and the nurses and staff of the Hospice House Fredericton for their kind and compassionate care during this difficult time.
