It is with sadness that the family of Dorothy Alison-Stannard announces her death at Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the age of 83. Born in Keswick, NB, on June 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Pearle (Haines) Brewer.
Dorothy leaves behind her children, James Alison (Cynthia) of Calgary, AB, Heather Rolfe (Kevin) of Stanley, NB, Bruce Alison of Malaysia, and Sara Merrithew (John) of Douglas, NB; siblings, Alex Brewer, Joan Brewer (Merle), and Conrad Brewer (Marion); many grandchildren and a few great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, Richard and Pearle, Dorothy was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Faye Gray Brewer, and by her beloved companion, her dog, Mr. Buttons.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oromocto Special Care Home, Ste. Anne's Court, the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, and Oromocto Public Hospital for the care they showed Dorothy.
