Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late John and Jeanette (Hovey) Crawford. Over the years Hal worked in Ontario, BC and Fredericton, NB. He was a loyal friend of many and enjoyed gardening, helping his sister with yard work and most happy when entertaining his friends with his talented guitar playing. He travelled across Canada with his co-pilot, Dylan, his pet cat.
Hal is survived by his son Lance Crawford (Amy) and their daughter Amelia, all of Moncton, NB; his siblings Erle Crawford (Mary) of Cochrane, AB, Lorna Rogers of Lachute, QC, Phyllis Burke (Jerry) of Nasonworth, NB and Keith Crawford of Gray Rapids, NB; sister-in-law Joey of Hamilton, ON; Lance’s mother Sonya (McKinnon) Martin of Chelmsford, NB; aunt Carolyn Atkinson, uncle George Crawford and several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss his amazing hugs.
In addition to his parents, Hal was predeceased by a brother John H. Crawford and a brother-in-law George Rogers.
As per Hal’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A private graveside service will be held in Blackville at a later date.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to doctors and nurses in ICU and Dr. Blythe and nurses of 4 NE for their excellent care and empathy.
