Lynch, Neil Francis

Neil F. Lynch of Fredericton, NB passed away at the Pine Grove Nursing Home on Sunday, June 16th, 2013. He was born in Fredericton, NB on May 16th, 1927.  He was the son of the late May (Foster) and Thomas Lynch.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary of 57 years, his son, Michael (Susan) of Fredericton, daughter, Colleen Hamilton (Clark) of Fredericton, son, Kevin (Wendy) of Stittsville, ON, and Shawn (Janet) of New Maryland and foster daughter, Dorothy Fascarino (Tony) of Leamington, ON; his grandchildren, Matthew (Penny) Lynch, Laura (Jarred) Dooley, Lily Hamilton, Meagan Lynch, (Mark) Scott and Adam Lynch; foster grandchildren, Kelly and Justin.

Neil was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Pauline and Marion Lynch; his brothers, John, Harold, Myles, Gordon and Thomas.

Neil was the collector of Customs and Excise, Department of National Revenue, Fredericton, NB. Retiring in 1987. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church being a Reader and Eucharistic Minister for many years. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Club – call VE9NL.

Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18th, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 at 12:15 at Holy Family Catholic Church Hanwell Road with Rev. Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will be in the Hermitage Cemetery.  A special thank you to the Nursing staff of 4SE at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and the staff of Pine Grove Nursing Home  and a very special thank you to Tabatha Bois, Angela Wallace, Debbie McNeil, Lily Hamilton, Caregivers while Neil was at home. Thanks to Dr. Daigle and Dr. Debra Gowan.
